Rolex Land-Dweller
Opening new horizons

The embodiment of numerous watchmaking achievements, crafted by those shaping the future of watchmaking, the Land-Dweller is a timepiece for those who build tomorrow's world today.

This watch features a bracelet that harmoniously integrates with the case, creating a seamless aesthetic.

Its sleek, bold design houses a movement that introduces groundbreaking innovations, calibre 7135. Thinner than the majority of the brand’s movements, it is designed to operate at a high frequency of 5 hertz, delivering exceptional performance.

Calibre 7135 A high-frequency movement

Entirely developed and manufactured in-house, calibre 7135 operates at an exceptional 5 hertz, or 36,000 beats per hour, an unprecedented frequency for Rolex. This enables it to measure time to one tenth of a second. It also presents a particularly attractive design. Through the watch's transparent case back, the sparkle of the cut-out oscillating weight in yellow gold may be admired, as well as the delicate Rolex Côtes de Genève decoration on the bridges.

Calibre 7135 Dynapulse escapement

The most significant innovation, calibre 7135's Dynapulse escapement is a revolutionary alternative to the traditional Swiss lever escapement. Made primarily of silicon components and boasting an innovative architecture, this sequential distribution escapement is extremely lightweight, virtually insensitive to magnetic fields and significantly more energy-efficient than a traditional escapement.

Calibre 7135 State-of-the-art oscillator

Calibre 7135's oscillator features a balance staff whose material and manufacture presented a significant challenge, a balance wheel made from optimized brass, and a silicon Syloxi hairspring. The patented balance staff is made from a new high-technology ceramic exclusive to Rolex and is shaped by laser – a first for the brand. Optimized Paraflex shock absorbers give the movement heightened shock resistance in any position. Finally, thanks to the various materials used to produce the oscillator's components, it is able to withstand strong magnetic fields.

Flat Jubilee bracelet One with the case

The Land-Dweller reinterprets the design of watches with integrated bracelets, characterized by a smooth continuous line between case and bracelet. Inspired by the emblematic Jubilee bracelet introduced on the Datejust in 1945, the Flat Jubilee bracelet has been specially designed for the Land-Dweller. Its links have a distinctive flat surface, a unique feature among our metal bracelets. It also comes with a whole new set of finishes, including polished centre links, and outer links with a technical satin finish on the top and polished sides. Viewed from the side, the polished chamfers on the top edges of the case and outer links form a circle of light, further accentuating the timepiece's harmonious design.

Dial Honeycomb motif

Surrounded by an angled flange, this graphic dial is adorned with a geometric decoration: a honeycomb motif developed using a high-technology laser. The satin finish on the intense white dial and the sunray finish on the ice blue dial are achieved using traditional techniques. On versions with a Chromalight display, the open numerals and the index hour markers, with luminescent material that extends the full length of the component, are exclusive to the range. They give the Land-Dweller optimum legibility in any circumstance. The hands, also luminescent, have been specially designed for the model. The seconds hand, in particular, stands out with the design of its counterweight, which adopts the dial's honeycomb motif.

Superlative Chronometer certification
